Romantic Hotels in Sint Maarten

"Staff need to be more friendly and informed. Most of the staff seemed tired and uninterested. There were definitely some staff that were genuinely nice and very helpful. But the overall service was not up to the mark. The property is beautiful and in a prime location. Food is average. Azul was the best of the lot. Nightly entertainment was ordinary. Pools are nice but swim up bars were an after thought. Overall it's a 4.5 for the property, but just about 3 for everything else. "

"The resort was recommended by a friends and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. We are looking to return next year. We came during off peak season and it wasn’t crowded. The only thing that we found odd were the 6 or 7 stray cats on the property but other guests fed and gave them attention. The food and drink was good. We only left the property twice for food. "

"Food was great! A majority of the staff was great! Tried the rooms with Bali beds out front and that was a waste of money. No view and filled with ants. Get a higher room with an ocean view. The beach was useless as it is steep and ground seashells for sand. That said, you cannot beat the view of Simpson Bay. Great island and will be back when they rebuild. I would just stay at a sister property near the airport next time."
