Betjeningen er imøtekommende, men det oppsto her som mange andre steder i Sri Lanka en del kommunikasjonsproblemer grunnet dårlig engelsk forståelse. Fantastisk meny på kjøkkenet, men vi visste knapt at de hadde en før avreise, så informasjonen til gjestene burde vært bedre."

"Such a lovely hotel, situated on a quiet, beautiful beach. All staff here and at the sister hotel a short walk away were amazing, with a special mention to Rosin and Nedmina (sorry I couldn’t quite remember your full name!) We loved being able to swim in the sea just outside and walking along the beach. A great, comfortable base for exploring the South Coast. Lovely food too-eating on the beach was a real treat!"

Basics such as mosquito nets, had holes in so didn't work, and had a little trouble with communication (being English) which didn't experience at other more rural places. "Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. If it can be locked then it's manageable. But in our case the sliding doors could not be locked. The breakfast was superb. Had plenty of varieties. For lunch we had nasi goreng and it was...

"I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. "Vi ankom sent pga trafikk. Hotellet sendte oss underveis en WhatsApp melding og lurte på når vi ankom. Flott gest. Fine rom, veldig god og personlig service. God beliggenhet på flott strand, rolig område. God restaurant med hyggelig betjening. Veldig trivelig at eier (Andrea) kom over for å hilse på oss. "We loved out stay, hotel staff were so attentive and went out of our way to enjoy the experience. The meals were truly amazing, Dinusla cooked our dinner as we were the first guests for the season and Wow! It was the best Sri/Lankan meal we have ever had. Breakfast was so delicious, fresh fruit & juice, eggs of choice plus delicious delicate curry with roti. Sean, Uden and Shenal were fabulous, they felt like family when we had to depart."
