"Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. "Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. "It is on the west side of Yosemite way up in the mountains. The location is closer to Glacier point and far from curry village. The road sign to the property is not easy to find. The room has a pleasant tree views and enough amenities. Suggesting put an anti slip mat in the shower. "
