"I had a very nice stay at this BW. I enjoyed the pool, and the breakfast had an amazing amount of choices. The staff was pleasant. I have only two suggestions -- safety bars in the shower/tub, even in non assessable rooms, and a step stool as the beds are VERY HIGH, I pulled the upholstered chair over to use as a ladder, and the coffee maker was above my head, I'm 5'3" also so you could put wet towels on the shower bar since there are no towel bars in the bathroom. "

"Boys weekend to Cooperstown. We had a blast. Hotel was perfect for me and my young sons. Pool was clean as was the room and public areas of the building. "

Front desk staff provided an excellent information sheet regarding nearby dining options which helped guide our choices. "

"This is a very quaint lodge away from the hustle and bustle of town. The staff was so friendly and nice. We were here from Atlanta to see the Baseball Hall of Fame. They were helpful in other local sites. Breakfast was a simple continental. Visiting in late October, that’s what we expected. Deer came up into the yard. Sun rises and sun sets were beautiful. If we ever come back, we will definitely stay at the August Lodge again."

"I've traveled around the world, and this is by far the place I've ever stayed! The accommodations were very clean and impressive. The gourmet meals they prepared for breakfast and dinner were always delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the gracious owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. "The White House is a wonderful place with nostalgic pieces and a great history. It was like staying at a friend’s house. The hospitality was first rate and breakfast was wonderful. It was nice to converse with other guests. It was about 5 blocks from the Hall of Fame. Easily walkable."
