"We had a very nice stay at the Sign of the Angel. Even though the room was not very big, it had all we needed. It was a different experience. We wanted to stay in place with history, wooden beams and character and we definitevely got that - as well as comfort. The food was amazing, very gourmet, and the staff were fantastic. Super nice and helpful! The hotel has a lovely garden area where you can eat or drink outdoors. Loved it! "

"Inn was clean, food was great. Coming on foot from the Cotswold Way was kind of difficult, we stayed for more than five minutes on the side of the busy road waiting to securely cross the road. "

"Great location. Shops and restaurants on the doorstep. The hotel has a very relaxed feel with a cosy lounge area to kick back with a wine or coffee. Great staff, friendly and helpful. The pool and the gym are great extras. The rooms do not have AC, but we had a room fan which helped. My only criticism would be there was nowhere to put our clothes, as no chest of drawers, only a small wardrobe. "

"A dream stay. Lovely cottage on a working farm just a few minutes drive from Castle Combe and Chippenham. The hosts were lovely, the cottage was warm and homely with an amazing log burning fire. Each morning, a freshly cooked breakfast is brought to your door at a time of your choosing. Would highly reccommend to all."

"The Red Lion is a property steeped in history and it is hard to create modern standards in such an old building. That being said, everything was clean and tidy and the service was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend it to friends "
