"Great location minutes away from medieval city. Staff were friendly and helpful and they put on a good continental breakfast spread (simple but everything was high quality, and generally locally or regionally made). Room was clean and everything functioned well, window had a nice view of the castle and city walls. However the furnishings weren't the nicest, the colour choice in the room was almost overwhelming, and the beds were too small for me (I'm tall)."

"The hotel is inside the walled city, right next to the basilica. As no car is allowed to drive to the castle, the hotel offers a free shuttle to pick/drop you to the parking lot where you get in/off the taxi. The hotel has a lot of history but the condition itself needs some maintenance. The view from the hotel is unbeatable and the staff are super friendly. Overall is a very nice stay. Remember to book a taxi before arrival "

"When we arrived at the hotel it had closed down four weeks previously. A notice on the door informed us to which hotel we had been transferred. This was difficult to access as the hotel next to The Chevalier( our new destination) was still under construction. There was no drop off point for luggage and my husband had to carry all bags from a car park about 7 minutes walk away. We were greeted by black billowing smoke.
