This former insane asylum promises to be a great, modernized hotel. All a lie. Everything is dark and dingy, with tiny rooms resembling a prison. Worse, the supposedly glamourous grounds are in disrepair and most of the adjacent buildings are genuine mental health facilities, all in the midst of a run-down neighborhood.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful and I love the history of it. We booked a queen room and I felt it was a bit overpriced for how small it was. Staff were wonderful however

I live the Richardson. The architecture is amazing and so is the history. They have a museum with a video that tells about how it became a hotel. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property! I loved walking around and checking out all the architectural details. The museum on the ground floor was interesting too. It inspired me to go out and see other local buildings.
