The hotel is located in a great location across the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Broadway. The hotel however has an open lanai before the front door, which is a haven for the homeless and drug addicts. The same drug addicts smoked marijuana everyday while we were there. With the high crime rate in New York City the hotel should enclose this area to make it safe for its guests. Finally room service had to be requested and was a hit and miss affair.

We were only in New York for a day and a half so we chose this hotel. It’s not close to time square about a 14 minute walk. It was judt okay. The room was so small giving jail cell. It looks old and needs to be updated. It was okay for the one night but if i was staying any longer u would have cancelled and got a better room.

The staff was overall very nice and the romm, small but clean. However I have never felt more unsafe in a hotel going and coming back. The constant overwhelm of people outside not being monitored is insane. Two men came screaming at my friend and I as if they were going to hit is and there is no one watching! Not mention no breakfast included for that price, what a rip off! Never again

The room was nice enough. The elevators are slow and horrible. We did the stairs a lot! The area was not safe at all! The front “courtyard” full of people harassing you. Let’s not talk about the “security guard” who keeps the luggage in the morning when check out is before your flight. First off it’s in the lobby….no locked room or secure space. Second, was a time that when someone spoke to me the way she did, I would have ended up in Orange! Do better!

This property’s front facade is open for public bystanders and we felt that it’s very unsettling every time we pass by them because others are homeless. And, basic necessities like toothpaste won’t be provided unless you ask. The water’s temperature from the shower is broken, one minute youre skin is burning and the next youre in Alaska. It’s a pretty expensive hotel so we were totally disappointed.

I'm going to start with the good: Rooms are nice, amenities are ok and overall this hotel has everything to be considered a good stay Location is great, close to Metro stations and walkable distance to attractions such as Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and Times Square The staff is nice and willing to help Wifi was fast and reliable Now the bad: The hotel was booked at capacity (a lot of events happening, including Trump Rally and the Marathon). A couple of times they didn't have enough towels for the guests. For most of our stay the elevator was not working properly, so we had to climb up and down all the way to the 17th floor. If you have been to NY before you know you make your steps, now adding 17 flights of steps was really inconvenient. At the times it was working the line was long and waiting time could take up to 15 mins. They did have some technicians working on it, but out of 6 nigths of stay only 1 or 2 the elevator was working properly. Outside the lobby there's what I suppossed was a nice front terrace for the guests, unfortunately it was crowded with homeless people, solicitors, and even youngsters drinking and smooking. Not to mention it was always dirty, so not a pleasant impression. At times might even feel a bit insecure to be there. Some of the rooms have a main street view to 8th Ave and tend to be really loud all the time, even when closing the window

Friendly & welcoming staff, spacious room for downtown hotel, great location near Broadway/Times Sq/Midtown-Koreatown. Entry area (PUBLIC SPACE) is a bit of a mess, but not private property. Will definitely return to the property.
