After visiting the Armani Megastore, the question you will be asking yourself is not what can Giorgio Armani design, but rather what can’t he?
Located in the center of the elegant Montenapoleone neighborhood, the megastore is not only a clothing boutique but a chocolate shop, a florist, a bookstore, a café, a private club and a world-class sushi restaurant. After a whole day flitting between stores and meals in one building, the Armani-designed hotel on top is a blessed relief. Shop the various collections, or just relax in the café, sip espresso, and watch some of Milan’s most stylish residents stop by.
Whether it’s looking for a new suit, a pair of jeans, or even children’s clothing, spend hours going from rack to rack in the spacious store, stocked with the designer’s newest pieces. Pick up a box of delicious chocolates from Armani/Dolci, or grab a bouquet of flowers as a fragrant gift from Armani/Fiori. Learn more about the fashion and design industry, or just get inspired, with the small but well-curated collection at Armani/Libri library and bookshop.
Carry your shopping bags to the on-site café, with its Mediterranean-Asian fusion food, or later in the day, head up to the terrace of the hotel for an aperitif overlooking the city. Experience world-renowned sushi at the Nobu restaurant located in the hotel, then spend the night in the rooms designed by Armani himself. Emerge back into the real world, trying not to miss the time spent in King Giorgio’s universe too much.
The Armani Megastore is in the heart of the well-heeled Montenapoleone neighborhood, right next to the district’s main metro stop. Take the subway from Milan Centrale in 6 minutes, walk in 25 minutes or drive in about 20 minutes.
The store is open daily from the mid-morning to late evening, with slightly reduced hours on Sundays. Nobu, the café, and Armani Privé stay open later. Reservations are strongly recommended for Nobu.
