"Everything was v clean. We stayed in the Wotter Room on the second floor. Yes it could all do with a bit of a paint in patches but the room is charming and huge. The view was amazing - we could see the fireworks in Plymouth the first night that we stayed. Had a fab Nepalese curry on Wednesday followed by an Indian pudding which was delicious. Steak on the second night. The hotel is on the edge of Dartmoor but close enough to the local tourist attractions. We will definitely return. "

"The apartment is a home from home and has everything you’d need! We were two small families so a house shower room would have been good rather than having to go in to one of the other bedrooms for a shower etc not a massive deal if your one family and there is an extra toilet! Comfortable beds, great location although did get a little noisy at times! "

"Some staff were lovely. Some had to be hunted for such as to serve us breakfast on the Saturday. The shower was dangerous, wirhout moving control from medium it went from scading hot to freezing. The room was shabby outside lighting hit and miss. The beds were comfy and there were good quality coffe bags and biscuits."

"The Alma Lodge Guest House is Conveniently situated with easy off street parking. Very comfortable room. Excellent facilities and wide choice of breakfast. Wonderful host, very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend. Thank you"

"Loved our small water view out the bedroom window. Property was clean and well maintained. It was very quiet during our stay— I’m not sure how many others were also staying when we were there, but if there were people around we didn’t know! Loved the city of Plymouth, we were a short walk from some of the main hubs of town, and felt the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. You do have to pay for parking permits when you arrive, but thankfully always found parking right across the street from...

Allowed only one bacon or sausage roll each which consisted of literally one sausage and one bacon rasher. "
