"Excellent beach for a morning (or afternoon, or evening) ocean swims with plenty of seating options for hotel guests. Towel service was very handy, bikes convenient for short jaunts into Kapa’a, lawn games fun for the family, and poolside amenities very tidy. We loved the 70’s vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very clean and well organized and evening phosphorescence a huge bonus. Was also a great location for visiting the south or north shore without taking up too much driving time....

"The property was walkable. Right across the street from the mall. Coffee, speakeasy, restaurants, gift shop on site. Pool, gym, and sauna. Cabanas are included in the amenities, not extra fees like some places such as Vegas. They did not have a hot tub which would be nice. "

"It was a short, but pleasant stay. Room could use an update (kitchen cabinet, bathroom counter top) and there were no usb outlets available. Minor inconvenience. We enjoyed the furnishings and the view was fabulous. Would stay here again."

"Decent hotel. Private beach good for families with kids. Good location by the city center and close to airport Downsides: exorbitant parking fee of 35$ and destination tax of 22$ which adds up. The hotel luau (island breeze) was quite expensive but Food at island breeze luau was bad. "

"Overall this hotel is in a great location. I think that’s the beat part of it. Minutes from the beach, right on a main street, and right next to a park where you can jog. Front desk staff is great and they have a wine & cheese event that is very nice for guests. It helps you meet other guests in case you’re traveling solo. Gym is also pretty decent (although some of the machines need to be oiled a bit). The cons: the only water filter is in the lobby and is superrrrrr slow so I had to buy...

"I loved the location: it was easy to access by the #20 bus, and felt "in the thick" of Waikiki, but it wasn't in the extremely crowded section further to the south. It was just crowded enough that the city felt vibrant but not choking. The rooms themselves were clean and had everything we could have hoped for - including a mini fridge and a microwave, which I wasn't expecting but was a pleasant surprise! I think this hotel is a sweet spot in terms of location and cleanliness, and I could see myself coming here again if I were to return to waikiki."
