"The hotel is amazed with Peranakan decor in modern settings. Bright and airy. Our rooms are big and spacious. The only problem I faced are steps to the bathroom. Good that the hotel has an “antique” glass lift that moves slowly. It serves clients like me who can’t climb up and down the stairs. Maybe should consider to have another lift just in case the one and only lift breaks down. Thank you to the management for the extra high tea treats. Very generous portion."

But, the manager Mrs Rinie was unfriendly as she was harassing my sister who stayed in another room about the extended hour that we requested and threatening her. "Location is great, walkable to most attractions in Georgetown. Check-in/out was fast and cordial. Room was clean, neat and bright with natural light, nice night view of city too. Housekeeping was attentive too. I forgot to remove the 'Do not disturb' sign when I stepped out, a card was slipped under the door to inform me to give them a call if I require any service before certain time. Probably due to the age of the hotel, the room looks kind of "tired". Overall experience is pleasant, relaxing...
