"One of the best hotels we stayed in Malawi. Rooms are specious and very clean. The resort organizes afternoon cruises on the Shira river and morning game drives in the park. We did both and it was really excellent. "

"Sunbird Ku Chawe is situated high up on the Zomba Plateau - one definitely needs a car to get there. It has perfectly manicured beautiful gardens. Even though it was very hot the time that I was there, there is always a cool breeze as it is so high up! I loved my room with the views of the Zomba town & far off mountains such as Chiradzulu and Mulanje. Had a wet room and modern fixtures in the bathroom. "Great location and nice staff but it was way over priced. They didn’t have my booking so made me pay their daily rate which was higher. The basic room was awful so I upgraded to a deluxe room which cost $100. The WiFi was meant to be free but they made me pay for it after the first 250MB ran out. Electricity was off a lot so it was pointless paying for the aircon. Windows were constantly left open so I shared my room with many “pets”: lizards, beetles, spiders, mosquitoes and a caterpillar....
