"I loved this little place, thought it was the prettiest and most charming along the beach. Having a bar and restaurant onsite was definitely a bonus. The staff are lovely and I would really recommend doing the sunset boat trip with snorkeling and eagle feeding. Overall excellent value, so much so that we thought we were undercharged for all our food and drink!"

"The Sunbird waterfront is a very nice modern property with very well appointed rooms. The restaurant is good – breakfast is very good. Staff are friendly and polite. "Hotel is beautiful. However, one of the rooms I stayed in did not have a mosquito net on the bed and some of the windows did not have screens."

"It’s near everything you need for a one or two night stay. It is an older place and could use some updating. Poor WiFi and poor air conditioner. I asked to be moved from the first room and the second wasn’t much better. What keeps me coming back is the location, the staff and the food. Especially the breakfast which is worth every penny. "I greatly enjoyed my time at the Residence for many reasons. Chawa picked me up from the airport. The fee to get into town was less than half the posted charge for taxis. Breakfast each day was both enormous and tasty. Dinner was likewise excellent. The bed was comfortable, which gave me long, deep sleeping. "Hotel facilities are in excellent condition and clean. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I was provided a free upgrade on one of my two nights there. Hotel is located a considerable distance from the main commercial area of the city (e.g. 1-hour walk from the government buildings), meaning to go anywhere effectively requires a taxi, but otherwise the hotel area felt safe and secure."

"The Green Elephant is stunning. Conveniently located (if you have transport) for getting around Lilongwe but not directly in the middle. "Staff and lodging is good, ac works. The pool was not filled upon our arrival. Don’t buy anything from the vendors on the beach they will overcharge you by insane amounts. Walk down to the other vendors and shops for better deals. "
