Weston Park Museum is a fun place for kids to learn about social, natural and worldwide history. It has a range of fascinating permanent and touring exhibits with interactive parts for children. Make your way through the many colorful collections to learn about unusual facts relating to the city of Sheffield.

Get hold of activity sheets and fact files for kids to fill out. The little ones will love the coloring-in pamphlets that share themes with the exhibits. Learn about the world’s oddities in the What on Earth! display. Inspect its beehive and ant colony and design your own creatures.

Find out the real story behind the development of Sheffield in the museum’s natural history and cultural displays. Among the permanent exhibits are Sheffield Life and Times and Arctic World. Watch a puppet show about Sheffield’s Victorian-era magician and illusionist, Professor De Lyle. Learn about the origins of the Punch and Judy show. Purchase souvenirs and intriguing items from the museum shop. The site is in Weston Park, a large and picturesque area that contains floral displays, monuments and the Arts Tower.

The museum is open daily from morning until late afternoon. Admission is free. Educational workshops are available for kids on Mondays during the school semester. The workshops incur a small fee and teach kids about creative arts and crafts.

Weston Park Museum is in the western part of Sheffield. It is a 20-minute walk from the city center to the museum grounds, situated at the southern end of Weston Park. Visit nearby landmarks, such as the University of Sheffield and Crookes Valley Park.
