The newer part - where my room was - was functional, if not beautiful, but lovely and clean and comfortable, with gorgeous linen and towels. The older part was really lovely and very worth preserving and maintaining. The absolute best part of my stay was the staff. All impeccable, friendly and professional. Lovely hotel, 25 mins walk into the centre. Buffet breakfast was nice. Gym facilities were ok - opens at 7am & spa at 8am. Rooms look a little tired & could benefit from a refresh, but they were clean. Lighting in room awful for doing hair & makeup!
