"The area was quiet/very peaceful. Loved the cottage. It was spaceaious and clean with individualized thermostat control. The multiple fireplaces, steam shower, in room jacuzzi, and deck hot tub were our favorite amenities. Those were the reasons we booked at the Hermann Inn. Snacks and drinks for us to consume during our stay were waiting for us when we arrived. The local people were really nice and friendly. There wasn't a lot to do in the area for entertainment. "The outside of the hotel was very nice but the inside was a different story. The hallway was sprayed with an overpowering smell that choked me up. Our room was very, very musty smelling and seemed to get worse. The bed spread was nasty looking, whether it was dirty or stained I'm not sure.. We took them off immediately. The breakfast area was another gross area. The coffee counter was stained, unpainted, and filthy looking. The milk and juice was left out on the counter and was getting warm...
