"Beautiful luxurious hotel facing the harbour. Room had great sea view but huge cruise ships dock right in front of hotel so view partially obscured when ships are in. Room very clean but there were ugly stains on the carpet where someone had spilled something - carpet should have been professionally cleaned, seeing as this is a high-end hotel and stains were unsightly. But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros. "Wonderful boutique hotel. Reception staff were discreet but very helpful when engaged. Elegant breakfast included. Our suite seemed a little dated with carpeting and older feel but was comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand was big and modern. Amazing location as well. I would definitely return but would ensure to get one of the more updated rooms. The estate prosecco and macarons were an elegant touch."

The only issue is the confusion on check in, which is not at the Palace Suite but at the Continentale Hotel nearby.
