Serious updating needed
The hotel is very dated. There is no hot spring so they gave some bath salt but it is absurd to fill the large tub with water with bath salts so we skipped it.
Staff don't really speak English and they should really invest in updating the hotel and some technology (not card system) to manage their whole.
The only onsen property up the mountain where you can admire the city view of the entire Taipei at day and night. The cleanliness of the room was ok though the room we had setting was a little dated. The Japanese style onsen and shower was great and you're gonna have a great night sleep afterwards.
Clean and quiet, perfect view. Good service. Restaurant food is very good.

A Real Mountain Star
Very good location in the middle of the mountain. Convenient to go up and down the mountain to wherever we wanted to go. Convenient and regular bus services just next to the hotel. Breakfast of porridge and bread were adequate. Wifi was not too bad. Just beware of pesky mosquitoes and other biting insects if you go there in June.
This hotel has the hot spring in the room, which is quite nice. There is no hot spring outdoors, though the outdoors is beautiful. It is very much in a zen garden style, and has nice views of surrounding areas.
The food was better than I expected. This place would be great for couples as the hot spring in the rooms is quite nice and private.
The hotel is located in a very private area with its own top floor facing Taipei.
The nightscape is great. The hotel is not that crowdy and you can get a relaxed moment in the top floor feeling the sunling and light breeze.
The room had its own private hot and cold tub.
Comfortable bed, spacious shower area with hot spring. Can see night view and star at the outdoor sitting area.

There’re better options than this hotel
It’s very far from the train station and the buses to go to this hotel are not frequent. You might need to wait for 40mins or more to get one.
Stayed there two nights and was expected a tidy room the next day as daily housing was included however the staff told us we didn’t tell them we need the cleaning in advance. I think they need to understand the usual practice of all other hotels where daily housing keeping is expected and no need to ask for it.
Also, if you want a real hot spring in Taiwan, this isn’t the one.
