Love love love this hotel. Second year in a row staying here. I’ve stayed at a few hotels around the island, but still think Roaders may be the best. As a solo traveler, the room was perfect for me. Good bed, accessible plugs, and maybe the best shower on the island. Overall, great value, great location, and great amenities. But the most of all, an excellent staff. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

I really loved the location and the space. The rooms are adequate and the close proximity to Ximen and Taipei Main MRT stations is absolutely amazing - easy access to most of the city. The only note I’d leave is that the rooms don’t all have safes for keeping valuables (like passports). The staff was kind enough to store things for me at their own locker but I’d have called it 5/5 if the rooms had a locker too.

Lovely staff and fantastic location. Hotel was quiet despite central location. Free snacks and waters were provided. Room was extremely humid and mold was apparent everywhere. Chose to upgrade my room to include bath tub but the humidity in the room afterwards was way too bad so I had to open my front door for an hour to let it out. Room was much smaller than on the photos. Windows (to the bedroom and bathroom) were straight out to a terrace and I didnt know who could see me while bathing/sleeping. Curtains were therefore shut the entire stay, unfortunately…

Roaders Taipei Zhonghua

Room spacious and comfortable. Location is great. Free snack is a nice bonus. But the biggest highlight was the staff. Genuinely friendly and helpful.

This is the hotel you didn't know you needed! We were traveling with our 9-year-old son, and the lobby area is a godsend if you are traveling with family. He could independently go down and be entertained and help himself to snacks! In addition, it made meal times - especially breakfast - so easy. They have plenty of large tables and open seating so grab-and-go/take-out meals are perfectly accommodated. I really appreciated the low-key vibe and relaxed setting and friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are perfectly comfortable and clean and have a decent amount of space. We stayed in a triple.Though not luxurious, the more laidback, easygoing atmosphere was much more what we were looking for the longest stay of our trip. It was great to have a laundry option as well. For our trip, we stayed in 6 different places, and this hotel was our son's favorite of our entire 2.5 week trip!

So many small little things that made it special (snacks, coffee, decorations, etc.). The bed was really stiff however, but not enough to ruin the experience or anything. This was a great price for the location and amenities. I stayed in an internal room with non windows and appreciate being able to sleep during the day with no light. Very economical. There are lots of convenience stores and places to eat nearby.

Friendly staff. First time I am in a hotel where the reception is in the basement. And the basement guest area is awesome with free snacks (ramen, egg buns, chips, etc.), games, and armchairs. Our room was small but sufficient for a couple nights. The bathroom had a large shower. Highly recommend the place!

It’s my second time here, really like the atmosphere, and they offer snacks and drinks throughout the day. Great place for family too. Location is excellent

Great location — close to MRT, food, and shops, all within walking distance. But the room was disappointing. The windows couldn’t be opened, the curtains were very dusty (dust flew everywhere when touched), and the carpet made the room feel less clean. My child even got a stye during the stay, which we think was related to the dust. Convenient, yes — but I wouldn’t recommend it if you care about cleanliness.
