Review for WESTGATE Hotel, Taipei I recently stayed at WESTGATE Hotel in Taipei, and it was an outstanding experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city. This hotel perfectly combines modern convenience, great service, and a prime location. Location The hotel’s location is unbeatable—it’s right next to the Ximen MRT station in the heart of Ximending, one of Taipei’s most vibrant and bustling areas. From the hotel, it’s just a short walk to countless shops, restaurants, and street food stalls. The MRT access makes exploring the rest of Taipei incredibly convenient. Rooms The rooms are sleek, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Although not overly spacious, they make excellent use of space, with plenty of storage and a cozy ambiance. The bed was plush and comfortable, and the bathroom was well-equipped with high-quality toiletries. This hotel is only a block away from Ximending rainbow road and walking district. It's also right next to the MTR station. The location is just perfect. You don't feel crowded when you step out of the hotel, and yet all the actions are just around the corner. The hotel staffs are super nice, the room is in top conditions, and the breakfasts are good. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, convenient location right in Ximen area. Staffs are very friendly & professional. The room (310) was ok. Good space for a solo. Had complimentary bottled water and soda. It got a bit noisy early in the morning around 6am with doors opening / closing. Farther away from Taipei101 area but it’s only $10 uber away. Overall, very nice and I would definitely come back.

The staff was very kind! Our hotel room was clean and they provided complimentary drinks as well. The area around the hotel is super convenient for tourists. You have easy access to various restaurants, food stalls, and shops. There’s always people in the area no matter what, so you feel safe going out anytime of day. Highly recommend for first-timers in Taipei.

Just left Taipei, and had a fantastic albeit short 3 night stay at Westgate. First, location is fantastic. Not only are you right across the street from the MRT, you're right on the edge of a very popular area full of restaurants, bars, and nightlife. With that said, the location is definitely not for everyone due to the large crowds. Because the hotel is on the edge of it, we never found it to be a problem, and the location suited us great for our trip. It's also amazingly easy to find as the instant you walk out of the MRT stop, you can see it, provided you pick the right exit. The hotel's website tells you the best route though. Some of the inclusions during our stay were breakfast, a couple of pineapple cake cookies, and some little keychains with the mascot of the hotel on a pillow, plus a couple of small cans of pop (Coke and Sprite). The breakfast changed slightly each morning, but was surprisingly good, and encompassed a lot of variety, with everything from eggs with toast and bacon to fruit and cakes along with random asian vegetables, steamed buns, congee, and fried chicken. The service was wonderful, the staff always trying their best to help, whether with directions, opening the doors, or anything you might need in the room. The room itself was spacious for an asian country, with amazing water pressure in the shower, I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel, and will be back if I visit Taipei again!
