"The downstairs public area of the hotel (the lobby, bar and restaurant) is modern and very nicely decorated but once you get beyond to the corridors and bedrooms the furniture and furnishings show their age and clearly need some updating. Our room had worn/torn carpets with exposed gripper strips around the edge, peeling faux leather bed base and the body wash in the ensuite was empty. "It was a lovely stay, the hotel is a fabulous old school building, though I would of liked to if explored the library (locked) My only complaint is, it does need updating a bit. Had a double room, really clean, fresh bedding, towels, but just needs updating/modernising. Staff were fab, great help, breakfast each morning was lovely & a good range of hours. Will be returning "

"A lovely property which is well situated. It had everything we needed. Unfortunately there is a lot of noise transfer from the apartment above. When I tried to contact the owner it took 4 days to get an answer, despite me using the numbers provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would definitely stay in the top apartment next time."

"Our second stay at Ravenswood and it certainly won’t be our last. Stuart is an excellent host. The rooms, especially the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very good, it sets you up well for the day. Great advice from Stuart on where to eat and what to see locally. Everything at Ravenswood is spotlessly clean. We thoroughly recommend this great B & B."
