"Our room was very comfortable, though the view wasn’t great as it overlooked the restaurant. However, this was more than made up for by the lounge area—a quirky hidden gem! "The room was cosy and sufficient for one night. It was tidy, but I could see it was wasn't wiped down properly after the previous guests, as I could still spot evidence of their stay here and there. Thankfully not enough to yuck me out. If you are a light sleeper, make sure you take some ear plugs, as you can hear almost everything your neighbours are doing and saying, in particular if you are in a downstairs room. "There's a bus stop outside with regular service to the centre. The rooms are big enough for a long weekend break with standard facilities. They offer food and drink which is very nice "

"We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed for longer. From the moment we arrived, the staff were super friendly and looked after us attentively. The room had a view of the lake and was comfortable and clean. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent with a good selection, fabulous ingredients, and presentation. Topped off by a stunning location, well worth a stop. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and all the staff were so kind to us. Thank you. "

"Really enjoyed our stay here. It's right in the middle of the main shopping and dining area, and was the perfect location for us. The rooms are clean and comfy, and the staff is very helpful. They don't do breakfast, but give each guest a little goodie bag each morning. The pub downstairs is lively and fun, but not too loud."

"They do the basic stuff really well. Don't expect a fancy room with all the trimmings but that's unrealistic at the price. it is decently equipped with the necessities built in a modern way."

"This is the perfect hotel if you are going to be in town for longer than a couple of nights. The kitchens are well-stocked and I loved being able to have food on hand for those late night excursions. There's a Tesco right around the corner. The location of the hotel is fabulous. Quiet off the beaten path a bit, around the corner from Hotenanny and St. Enoch's. Staff are kind and willing to help in whatever way possible. We've stayed at other hotels in Glasgow but this is now a favorite. The bathrooms are upgraded and the shower excellent. I do wish they cleaned the room everyday but that was a minor thing compared to all the benefits. Hightly recommend. "

"Great stay for visit to the Playhouse. Walking distance from Waverly station, to St James Quarter and Playhouse. Best location for what we we had planned. Floor 0 takes you to Waverly station avoiding all the traffic lights and longer walk to station. Staff lovely, rooms beautiful. "

"Excellent value for location and amenities. About a 10 min walk from Waverley and key sites, nestled between Castle and university yet still quiet at night (I would enthusiastically recommend for families visiting the university). Room was large and had both a bath and a separate shower, as well as a fridge and kettle. Decor was fresh, good quality bedding. Pool and sauna are at larger sister hotel, but gaining access was straightforward. Reception and housekeeping staff at both hotels were absolutely lovely."
