Budget Hotels in Southern Alberta, Alberta

"This place was not helpful and screwed us over big time. Made reservations for nine night stay, flew in to town, first off, their website said airport shuttle, no such service. So we had to take a wheelchair taxi there at a cost of $60. Then when we got there they wouldn't honor our reservation. They didn't care we had no where else to go and it was -20° . It took weeks to get our refund and I'm not even sure if it's come back to us. We are a biracial couple with disabilities and tourists in their city and I say this because I am sure it was because of our ethnicities and disabilities that we were treated so poorly they couldn't have been worse. They don't deserve a business license, totally have no concept of what it means to run a Canadian business and what laws and practices we observe."

"The hotel is showing its age, especially the pool area. It was the most economical choice we had for the 2 nights we were statying, but you get what you pat for. The pool area was mostly functional but the pool floor was very rough, the outdoor hot tub had missing lights avove it and lots of missing stucco and the jest didn't work, rhe indoor hot tub was ok though. The shuttle to town doesn't run very often and was very busy so plan accordingly. We drove and parked the 2nd night we went to town. Our condo was a 2 bedroom, not one of the updated ones. It fit out family of 6 but the pull out couch was pretty bad, even by pull out couch standards. It has 2 bathrooms with showers which is nice but both toilets ran constantly. We didn't have any coffee filters for the machine and were missing some blankets but the staff brought some right out. The staff seemed good but the property is a dated and doesn't seemed to be well maintained thus the low rating."

"Staff weren’t the most friendly. My friend (diabetic) had an iced tea (nestea) at the hot tub for a sugar low, and the staff yelled at us as they accused us of having alcohol there. Not impressed. Also, they did not allow us to take the tunnel to the Fox anymore. It is still advertised you can use this. The chemicals and stuffiness of the hot tub at this location was burning our eyes, skin, and making us cough so we were hoping to go next door. We’ve stayed here at least 10x and this time wasn’t good. Won’t be back. "
