"We arrived at the Vanbrugh House Hotel for our anniversary expecting our standard double room booking and what we paid for. They surprised us with an upgrade at no extra cost to the Vicarage Suite which was absolutely phenomenal. We had two baths and a shower, multiple sofas with a huge kingsize bed along with chocolates and a bottle of prosecco in ice. We can't recommend this hotel enough. The suite even included its own private garden! "

"Location was great, easy to get to city centre and Bicester village. Lots of places to dine out nearby. Hotel facilities were excellent and was the hotel was clean."

"Staff were welcoming and friendly at all times, from receptionists to cleaners. We use this hotel as a base for visiting granddaughter at the University, it is convenient for that, for shopping in the Westgate Centre and for some beautiful walks along the river."

"We were able to check in early, which was very appreciated! Initially we were given a room that smelled bad, but when I spoke to the front desk they immediately offered to move us to another room. Very happy with the attentiveness of the staff and the quality and comfort of the room. Location is perfectly situated in Oxford."
