Only thing that was an issue was quality and range of wifi network. Was only available close to entrance. But other than that . Amazing Service provided before our late arrival. "The hotel is in a very tranquil, country setting but not far from Bilbao. It is an old house that has been beautifully restored in a rustic manner. The lady, who seemed to do everything, was very kind and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable with a very modern shower. The evening meal and breakfast were plentiful and good quality. The only negative thing was that there was no lift and the stairs were quite steep."

"Fabulous little hotel. Our room very very quiet, lovely big towels, nice toiletries, very clean and friendly staff. We chose a room with a ‘courtyard’ view, this was a mistake. There was no courtyard, just a wall! However we didn’t mind this, we hated the huge outside blind which obscured the view of the wall, but also meant there was very little natural light in the room. Apart from this is was a perfect little hotel. "

"We had a great stay. Accommodation spot on and the breakfast was great. Didnt seem to be a good area to stay but was ok. Friendly reminders from local shop keepers to keep safe from pick pockets. Great for access to everywhere. We walked but plenty of buses. Would use again."

"This Axel is relatively new. The rooms are well designed, the shower is very stylish. Ivan and his staff do their best to give a good client experience.
