Family friendly Hotels in Samokov, Sofia Province

"Our 2nd visit after staying back in Feb 2020 and feel the same standards have been upheld (hard to do after covid too). Really nice hotel is nice quiet surroundings, 5 mins drive from the slopes & the free shuttle buses run back and forth all day so work out well. If you're heading into town in the evening there are always taxis outside and its a set 20 lev which was reasonable (some try it on when coming back so haggle with them). "Toilet not flushing, mould on the walls, 2nd room didn’t even have a bed, it was a fold out couch from last century, not possible to put any items from the bar on the room, reception tried to charge us for the night which we had paid for online"

"A 4* hotel this is not. It's OK if you're just looking for a place to crash in Borovets but it's on the outskirts of town (10 min walk to town if you're not in ski boots). Has a sauna but no jacuzzi or steam room and the pool is not really big enough for swimming properly. Breakfast was average if you got there reasonably early but by 8am everything on the hot counters is cool and doesn't get replaced."

"Staff rude, hotel full of teenagers drinking, playing loud music, and messing with fire extinguishers in hallways... Reception staff did not speak any English, when checking out they would not accept the email from Expedia saying 'you have paid for your room' so we had to show credit card statement - just trying to get more money! Would not recommend. Will not return."
