The restaurant and bar on the cliff were stunning, the pool perfectly appointed for the most incredible sunsets and the staff were super friendly and helpful. "One of my favourite places I stayed while in Thailand for a month. Very clean and I loved my private room with the balcony. Great breakfast and the free beach shuttle was great. I did get woken up by nearby cockerels every morning but I didn't mind. The hostel didn't have a social vibe while I was there but I think that was more down to the people who were staying there at the time."

"Incredible views! Location is quite isolated relative to the small island, so be prepared to scooter (ideally) or taxi quite a bit. Beautiful beaches (Tanote, Shark bay, Freedom) nearby. Staff is friendly and helpful but not all of then speak English. But there will always be someone around who will. Overall a great experience and would recommend to all."

"Located in extensive grounds and within walking distance of bars and a beach, this place is a, good base for a stay on Koh Tao. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathroom adequate with toiletries provided. The pool is a pleasant area with loungers, umbrellas and even a few kids toys, and the free pick up from the pier was appreciated. It would benefit from some upgrade and housekeeping and cleaning definitely needs improving, but it offers a pleasant stay for a reasonable price. "

"I stayed at Living Chilled for 15 nights and I could not have hoped for a better stay! I usually like comfort when traveling alone, and the room looked very clean on pictures. "Staff made this place worth it. Very kind and so helpful. They arranged the scooter from the hotel for us. We had a 7am ferry and with the front desk having limited hours it was not a problem, someone was able to help us check out and return our scooter at 6am. Although I recommend arranging those things the night before if you need to leave early. Central location, quiet away from the noise. Beds were hard but everything else amazing"

"The hotel itself is well located near Sairee Beach and to all shops/restaurants. The room we stayed in was very close to some hostels that have loud music every night. Not a problem for us as we are heavy sleepers but may be something to consider for others. They said there would be a shuttle to pick us up from the pier but when we arrived we couldn’t find the shuttle. The ferry was about 30 minutes delayed which we thought may be the reason the shuttle wasn’t there. We got a taxi instead...
