"You are playing a lottery here with room allocation. Will you get one which has already been refurbished or are you going to get something which was last redecorated in the 1980’s? "Advertised as a hotel (not Pontins) with an address that didn't match the booking one and lacking many of the basics you'd have in in anything resembling a hotel. One of the worst properties I've stayed in over 4 decades. A generally stand off ish and hostile undertone from the staffing on arrival, several serious defects and no warning about the bedding or towel shortfalls (unless you are one of their loyal customers who tolerate more than they should be expected to). "Just back from another relaxing stay at Flackley Ash. The staff are friendly and it’s good to see some familiar faces. I’m glad they have a small step they can bring out, as the last step into the building is rather steep. Esp if you have joint problems. "

"We had an absolutely lovely stay in The Loft. The apartment itself was perfect, with a very thoughtful welcome hamper and everything we needed for breakfast included. It was clean and spacious with a lovely loft living area for relaxing in the evenings. A 5 min drive to the centre of historic Rye which has many sights and eating options and a great base for exploring Romney Marsh, Camber Sands and Dungeness. Would absolutely stay again! "
