"A wonderful hotel with a beautiful meal. The staff are so helpful it's unreal. The only downside was the heating was stuck on and I couldn't get it to turn down My fault, I never called reception. But opening the windows was a shame as we were over the kitchen door and they came out to smoke regularly which stank. I'm a non smoker. Again. I didn't complain so that's on me. The rooms however are delightful and the food amazing"

"The reception staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful. The little touches in the room (a small surprise bday cake) was a lovely touch! The room is spacious and cosy. The balcony tables were a little dirty and the linen was a little itchy. Also, the noise from the corridors and other bathrooms was a little disturbing at night, but otherwise a lovely, pleasent stay. Thank you."

"Our go to hotel when we stay in Stratford. A historic hotel that oozes authenticity. Yes, it could do with a makeover in certain areas of the main building but these do not detract from the overall pleasantness of the stay. Excellent breakfast offering. If you plan to use the spa facilities then a small padlock is recommended to secure your belongings. Totally recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Stratford area. "

"From the first minute we walked through the door you could tell the hotel was a very special place, steeped in history and charm a truly beautiful place and staff were excellent, we only stayed one night but will be back again hopefully when the weather gets warmer I could imagine it’s even better when the weather improves in summer, breakfast was fantastic and you could see quality produce has been used , slight niggle, we wasn’t offered the option is poached eggs it was only when I saw others...

"Excellent location, easy reach to Warwick, and Stratford. Lovely grounds , hotel seemed a little tired in places .Restaurant evening meal good . Breakfast good, excellent guys in the bar got the log burner going for us every night as it was very chilly in conservatory. Room large comfy bed , very noisy towel rail couple of times banging at 6:45=in the morning but did stop once we twisted and turned the nobs . Would stay again."

"Clean, staff friendly. Perfectly fine except the thermostat on the radiator was broken and it blasted out heat all night. The only windows were high skylights and either it wasnt clear how to open them or they didnt really open. So unbearably hot all night. There was a tall fan which I had on all night so it seems the issue is known but not fixed. But for this I would have given 5 stars all round. No lift but thats normal. Suggested small improvement - some decaff tea in the room and some oat...

"Second time we’ve stayed here whilst visiting Birmingham for a concert. Excellent location, especially with direct access to the symphony hall. Staff very pleasant and helpful both on the main desk and in the bar. Bar meal - pitzza & Greek salad was excellent."
