"The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The kitchenette had a fridge/freezer with ice maker, a cook top, dishwasher, sink and plenty of counter space and storage. There is a good sized closet and some storage nooks, but no drawers. Considering it's a beach resort it would have been nice to have more places to hang up wet clothes, there's only one towel bar and hook in the bathroom. "Well furnished facilities. Friendly staff. Would be nice to have the swim up bar open later in to the evening. Service from the Sirena bar was very slow. Like that the pool is open 24/7. Would be nice if they had a shuttle too and from the airport. Food quality is great. Definitely a 4 out of 5 resort. "

"The property was beautiful! My room was nice and clean. The staff was great. My only issue was i didn't have wifi for the first 2 days, so my tv didn't work without wifi. I had to change rooms twice d/t the wifi issue. So i had to pack and unpack both times. That was inconvenient and annoying "

"The resort and grounds were absolutely beautiful, walkable and the beach was steps away. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Being both vegan and gluten free, I was so excited to see that each restaurant's online menu had 2-5 options available, so I didn't research other places. We book this hotel with the thought that there were balconies in the room. (noted picture and verbiage on web site) Don't be fooled as there are not balconies. "The villa is situated right on the water. Kayak is available for sailing. The kitchen and bathroom are on ground floor are open air. Bedroom and 2nd toilet is located upstairs. Bedroom consists just of king size bed and night tables attached to the wall, no closet space. The area provides easy contact with nature and privacy, though is distant to dining and stores (about 20 min, drive). "

"I found the location to be excellent, and the kitchenette well-stocked with cooking utensils. The manager, Cristobal, was also very helpful to me when I was having lots of challenges accessing the internet. I very much appreciated his kindness and help finding places nearby. "

"We loved Hix Island House!! It was quiet, except for nature sounds, and peaceful. Our unit had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t, a comfortable bed with mosquito netting, (I never saw a mosquito or a fly), fridge, 2 burner stove, basic kitchen supplies, plenty of thick towels, ceiling fan, (no air conditioning but it wasn’t needed) and an outside shower. The breakfast supplies were much appreciated and were restocked every other day. We enjoyed the refreshing swimming pool and the spacious grounds. We also appreciated the free use of beach towels, chairs, umbrella and a bag cooler. And we enjoyed learning the fascinating history of Hix. If we return to Vieques, we will stay there again. "

"They were awesome from communication before my trip even started to when my ferry got there, will definitely recommend it’s not a f star hotel so if that’s what your looking for not the the place for you like staying at moms house is the best way to describe it, clean and the view was to gorgeous "
