"This motel looks quite scruffy from the outside but the unit itself had been refurbished and was quite spacious. Excellent beds and linen, but threadbare towels and no salt and pepper. A mirror by a powerpoint is needed for drying hair as the hairdryer can't be plugged in the bathroom. A handy location close to the beach and shops and surprisingly quiet at night."

"The property met our requirements. Disappointed no one there to let us in as our UK mobile wouldn't connect. Thanks to another guest help we got through to get code to accommodation and gate."

"Shouted the hubby one night away without the kids. Only an hour away from where we live. Amazing view, so nice & peaceful. Only downfall was the driveway to the place was narrow & we could not see upcoming vehicles approaching around the windy roads. The meals were overpriced a three course dinner (small portions) was $118 & breakfast was a-lot more. Otherwise overall a nice short getaway."

"Convenient location. Comfortable. Limited kitchen so assumed that you would use restaurant for all meals. Front desk not attended so had to wait until someone came past. Wifi connection continually dropped out. "

"Very friendly people run this motel and enjoyed my stay, I recommend a stay here if you are in this area .A visit to the east beach was excellent also recommended. But this motel is out of town but close enough, probably better than ones in town."

"We were stuck in traffic in Auckland and barely made our 18:00 check in deadline. Sandra and Glen were waiting for us and are just wonderful hosts. Definitely a place I would stay in again. "

"A quaint lodge in a beautiful and secluded setting in the Waimauku countryside. The property has everything you could need and the breakfast food provided was great. It was clean and quiet and only a 5 minute drive from the nearest town. Would definitely stay here again!"
