"Richard and Simon were great hosts. The hotel is in a fantastic location - 2 mins to local shops and cafes, 5min walk to the pier, 10mins to the lanes and 15mins to the Brighton Centre. On street parking with temporary permits available from the hotel and managed to get a space just outside the property. Converted victorian terrace property - rooms were en-suite, clean and comfy with tea/coffee making facilities - little tub of bite size choc bars a nice touch. Breakfast included and a good...

"Friendly staff but disappointed overall. There was a large window with new curtains and carpet. There was a new toilet, sink and radiator in the bathroom. But it was small and the shower itself let the place down. They have overlooked some of the basics including decent beds without headboard and gap at the end to lose your pillows.Filling the kettle at the sink was near impossible as it didn’t fit under the tap."

"More shabby than chic, I nevertheless soon became quite enamoured of my humble little room on the first floor. These prices were often a third of the travelodge. Is Schmotel three times worse than travelodge? No it’s a different thing. I was therefore pleased that there were no ghosts or Frankensteins and no poo on the wall or ceiling, and nobody with loud and evil intent anywhere in the seven blessed rooms. "

"The apartments are lovely, and have everything you need; washing machine, microwave, toaster, oven etc. The only thing that would stop me coming again, is the exorbitant price charged for dogs. £20 per dog PER NIGHT! We have 2 small dogs, staying for 5 nights which would be an extra £200 on the bill! We queried it, and they reduced it to £15 per dog per night. But that is still an extra £150. Other places we have stayed in, charge between £20-£50 per stay. So, as lovely and convenient as it is,...
