"The staff was very friendly, and there was a complimentary happy hour on Sunday evening. Breakfast had a good variety and was well presented. The location was very convenient to the highway, and we could stretch our legs and walk to the Olive Garden next door. However, the building itself seemed a bit run down. The walls didn't keep out the hallway noise, so we ran our sound machine. The bathroom area was dark and cramped."

It does have a big parking lot for tractor trailers but I do not know if it was for them just to stay there or if they were spending the night at the hotel but it’s made for the hotel right in front. "Quiet. Owners were very helpful with info about Carthage. Close to downtown if driving. Pretty lake across from the far end of the motel. Walking trail around it. Room was not cleaned after the first night. We had to go to the office to get clean towels and washcloths the next morning. The room was cleaned well after that."
