The resort & the staff are very good & pleasant. The bathroom fan & the air conditioner are very loud. The light above the bathroom sink is very poor; should have better lighting. The shower drain was not working; we had to ask them to clean it to have better drainage. The toilet sit could have been adjusted. Perhaps a regular inspection by housekeeping is required. Not much choice for evening dining. Late dining is available; but it conflicts with the evening entertainment. There should be more advertising about the daily entertainment . It was difficult to make dinner reservations. Perhaps this could be made available online for the customers.

Ricardo and Adrianna from the kids club were awesome with my Grandkids I would return just because of them .The food in Casa Bella I would give a 5 out of 10 not alot of flavor and the meat was all over cooked .The rooms were clean but the beds could use an upgrading.

First time, but not last time! Excellent for kids/families. Evening events & Kids buffet were really awesome - resort went above & beyond, especially Fiesta Night Tuesday & Kids Fiesta Friday. Shows were high quality, entertaining, though wish were a little earlier. 9pm is late for kids. Clean, well kept, delicious food, accomodating staff. Our only caution is if you're travelling with littles that afternoon nap - don't get rooms that overlook main pool. Music during the day is VERY loud. But other side of building is fine.

This is our third time returning to the Marival and it was just as good as our first time. The food is fantastic - so many different options with their theme nights and 6 different restaurants to choose from, the drinks are so good - with two swim up pool bars, the rooms are very spacious and very clean, the staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the activities around the pool are sure to keep you entertained throughout the day with prizes and the shows at night are so entertaining and fun for everyone in the family to watch. We can’t wait to come back for another visit next year!

Property has lots of stairs. Glass doors that were an entrance to buffet and bathrooms near upstairs restaurant had no markings on them. Saw a couple people run smack into them. Need to put writing or design on them. Quite dangerous. Language barrier was pretty bad most of the time. Most resorts in Nuevo Vallarta has most employees you can communicate with. Needed reservations at most restaurants, weren’t even open every day. Had to go to lobby early in mornings and wait for at least an hour, and then restaurants weren’t even half full.

Pros -Hotel is nice -Pool is decently warm -There is a hot tub -Beach is very nice (however they come around frequently to sell things) -On the beach the ladies sell massages for 40$..well worth it -The rooms get very decently cold -Taxis are cheap if you want to leave the resort -Feels very safe, even leaving the resort -I don’t have kids/ don’t love not being at adults only, the kids were very not bothersome Cons: They will not let you have your room keys unpon check in until you listen to them heckle you about attending a time share presentation. If you walk through the lobby you are getting constantly harassed about attending these presentations. They try to bribe you to attend a 90 minute meeting with discounted excursions, massages etc. they said that they work on commission. There are only 3 restaurants and not all 3 are open on the same days. So you are limited to 1 restaurant or the buffet. The entertainment was pretty scarce. Shows didn’t start until 9pm Bed is rock hard

Some of the food at the buffet was not very warm. The chairs on our balcony were very uncomfortable and you could only stand them for 5 minutes. This is the fourth time I stayed in this hotel and this time got a very bad experience just because I did not want to go to the membership sales meeting . They gave me the worst room they have , the AC was not even turned on , the refrigerator was turned off when we arrived, the coffee machine was broken, the room was barely clean and very outdated. Since I do not have a membership bracelet then the service and attention in the restaurants was not good. Not possible to reserve on the special restaurants because it is only for people who has a membership. The plates and silverware were dirty in the only restaurant we were able to eat. After the scam about the membership and the quality I am not going to stay on this hotel anymore. They should clarify about the membership , it is expensive for what I got.

The resort was spacious. With lots of activities. The buffet was below average, but the other restraunts were great!! The room was clean, but area around pool and beach wasn’t looked after well. If you have kids this hotel has activities for all ages!
