The #1 thing I wish I would have known is this is a VERY eco friendly resort. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for it, but I would love to have had a water bottle/paper towel/straw option at any point. Instead you’re offered glass bottles to be filled up (by filtered water that just wasn’t my cup of tea for taste wise). The rooms are exactly as pictured, the bars are a bit misleading for the photos pictured on Expedia for example the roof top bar is completely changed (still beautiful) The food was good, you had a buffet/mexican and hibachi option. The hibachi was really good! There was not a lot of staff so rarely were you served by the pool, drinks were very mediocre and watered down. Otherwise very clean resort any issues we had were solved almost immediately! Book the transportation option through Expedia it was wonderful and soooo easy!! It might seem expensive but getting a taxi will be the same price with much older smaller cars. Otherwise this was a beautiful resort.

We enjoyed our stay thought the property thought the property is starting to show sign of repairs needed on the sidewalks and concrete areas. Didn’t like the soliciting of the time share for other Iberostar properties. Especially after traveling for 11 hours and I want to get to my room and rest and relax and enjoy the oceon view that part of the trip really turned me off

Property setup easy to get around. Wedding facility and view was beautiful. Activities plentiful. Steakhouse and prime rib has no prime rib which was disappointing. The flatiron and filet steaks were thick. Ribeye was maybe 1/2”. Buffet was good. Liked the ceviche. Other resorts & cruises have great burgers and fries which lots of people liked. We did not care for here.

stinky pillows not replaced despite requests. excellent buffet with seared ahi tuna! new system great as reservations not required for the a la cartes except the japanese. first come first served & waiting lists usually about 45 minutes & paged by text. churros available but not freshly fried like in the past & no mexican fiesta with traditional games. steakhouse new york strip with chimichurri so good. japanese could learn from other tepanyaki ginger & sesame sauces. no tamales or enchiladas at the mexican. tacos poolside were a treat! 24 hour starcafe had cappuccino, chai latte & pastries. usually boogie boards available for borrowing but here private co lets you buy ratchet but functionable boards & buys them back for $20. lifeguards lovely & tell you about the surf conditions to save you before you hit the waves! activities fun, dance lessons, aqua size, yoga & bingo. shout out to moni, marco polo and carlos for friendliness. traditional seed bead craft included. pool will be heated next month;(. evening show tickets expensive at $99/person. (never had to pay at other resorts.) higuera golf course next door fab & transport in golf cart included (we tipped). pool tables busy. cues and balls lent at reception if you leave id. wonderful wrist band with room key attached & no towel card required very helpful! coke zero & sprite zero in mini fridge! coco chases grackles. despite the pillow thing, our second time here & the quality of the food will likely draw us back.

Average stay. The food wasn't great and there wasn't a very large selection at the buffet. You can't make reservations at any of the restaurants so sometimes you can't get into eat until very late. We went for New Years, we had planned to go to the night club but at the door we were told it was $50 per person to get in, because they had dancers and a bunch of activities. We ended up paying $50 for 2 people and there were only 2 other people in the bar! It didn't end up getting busy at all. There was no indication previously that we would have to pay extra to get into to a part of the all inclusive we already paid for. It wasn't horrible it was just an average stay.

We were very unhhappy and disappointed with this hotel and we will not be staying here again. We booked a ocean view room with a king bed well in advance and did get the ocean view room with 2 doubles. We asked to be moved and were told that there was no availability for a king size bed so the solution was to push the beds together. So one of us were always sleeping in the crack of the bed. Not acceptable. The hotel is pretty far away from everything so cabs were needed and very expensive to take us from one place to another. We were also there to look at wedding venues- made an appointment with Victor- he showed up 30 minutes late so we cancelled with him. What is our time worth? The food was always cold no matter what restaurant we chose to eat at. The best thing that we found at this hotel was that the staff was very helpful and apologized for all the mishaps. - for that reason alone- i would rate this a 3/10. There are pother places to stay in puerto vallarta- this is not one that I would recommend.

I thought the food was very mediocre, and we were very disappointed to see there were no water sports (the website advertised kayaks, hobie cats and windsurfers.) They only have kayaks in fact - they should update their website. The sunset bar was a favorite location, and the beach and setting was gorgeous. The place was pretty and immaculate. One of the lamps in our room was broken and I reported it several times to the concierge but it never got fixed. Overall, it was a lovely stay and a nice place. I don't think it deserves 5 star status however.

This property was of much lower quality than expected. Check in was not easy, no drinks were given (although given to other guests), VIP status not offered and things such as towel cards were forgotten. The room was fine but bathroom was dirty, mold and ring around the tub/sand on the floor and eco bottles for water not in the room. There is not a sand beach, only a rocky area with limited seating. There was a wait at all of the restaurants and only one took reservations, sometimes upward of an hour or two and when seated, buffets ran out of food. The steakhouse was horrible, food took 45 minutes and was steaks were raw (not pink or rare, steak was seared but not edible; our group and those around us (who we did not know) all complained and left. Check out was also a nightmare, waited 45 minutes and they had our rooms messed up and tried to tell us we could not leave. The bars were great, pool ok although no adult pool and it is definitely a family resort. People claim pool chairs as early as 7AM so if you want chairs, be sure to get up early and put your towels on them. San Pancho was a fabulous place to visit for a day trip as well as the sailboat trip to the Hidden Beach. Would not recommend this resort for the money, they have a lot of work to do!

El servicio excelente, todo el personal siempre fue muy amable. Buena calidad de los alimentos y bebidas. El personal a cargo de las actividades estaba bien preparado. Disfrutamos mucho la banda en vivo, ojalá que ellos tocaran por más tiempo; ellos terminaban muy temprano :) agradecemos que haya un espacio en la habitación para trabajar en nuestra computadora.

Resort was perfect. Right balance between entertainment options and quiet options. Food was excellent. Entertainment staff was great! Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. Front seat and concierge were super helpful. Third time at this resort. We’ve been to other all inclusive but this one wins, hands down!
