Visit Cape Flattery it's beautiful but only go if you are moderately fit, short hike but takes a lot out of you on the way back up the trail. Lake Crescent is amazing! Olympic Game Farm is an amazing preserve and I will definitely support them!

Port Angeles feels as if it is a bit depressed, but coming back from more robust times. We chose it because we were taking the ferry to Victoria. We found a good bookstore and cafe and an excellent restaurant.

We had a lovely dinner on the waterfront, and the National Park main Visitor Center for Olympic National Park is in Port Angeles. It has all the amenities needed for a trip to the peninsula.

I think folks may be surprised at how "small town" port angeles feels but it gives a comfort that I didn't expect. The townspeople were kind and welcoming and it's a great town to stay in when visiting Olympic National Park!
