"I don't even know where to start. I just spent 2 weeks in Huatulco as I have a place being built in the area which is not ready yet. Our first 9 days we spent at Villas Coral as we visited a friend there last year. The Hotel is amazing. The views are stunning, and the food is delicious. However, none of that compares to the fantastic staff working there. Everyone, including maintenance staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. "Barceló Huatulco is a lovely family mid-size resort with friendly staff, nice rooms, and pools. It was at full capacity but did not seem overcrowded. It's set on a 1/2 mile beautiful beach in a quiet and safe area. The Premium level is the way to go to get better alcohol and an ocean front room. The drawbacks to this property is it lacks a coffee shop and there are only 3 main restaurants besides the buffet. Guests have limited use of a la carte restaurants unless the are premium level. "

"We really like it at Rooms Huatulco. It’s the second year for us. It’s a small property and you get to know everyone by socializing around the pool. We like being able to cook some meals. The house keeping is excellent. One gal does it all. It’s central enough to walk many places or take a quick trip to the beaches in a taxi. "

"Our return visit to Las Brisas Huatulco did not disappoint. The staff were always friendly and the service was always top notch, from reception, to the beach, to the restaurants. We didn’t spend any time at the pools but from what we saw the entertainment crew kept things hopping. The grounds are amazing. The groundskeepers are constantly trimming or raking. Tip them as well! They deserve it. This visit we stayed in the Mar section. The walk up to our room was a little easier than our previous visit. That said, the shuttles are always nearby and they will take you where you’d like to go if you’re not able to walk the hill or stairs to your room. The response to a couple of maintenance issues we had in our room were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The bed and linens were very comfortable. "

"Me and my husband planned on staying here until we had such a terrible experience the first day first night. First the AC in the room did not reach the restroom therefore the restroom was extremely hot. Second the bed was extremely hard, maybe not a deal breaker for some but it’s was almost like laying on the floor. Third when we planned on going to sleep after ignoring and trying to just make the best out of all the issues, the head board of the bed was covered in ants which to our surprise we moved the bed and underneath was full of ants as well. Not to mention in order to contact the staff we had to text the girl on WhatsApp which was extremely inconvenient since she was already home which we did not know and we didn’t wanna inconvenience someone while they are at home. Another thing the place had a really dirty pool which in the pictures looked better than in person. They also advertised for a private beach experience but when we arrive we were told that we couldn’t swim since the beach was very rocky and waves were strong, which one fine but that was one of the reasons we stayed there since we wanted that experience. Overall it was very uncomfortable and inconvenient and me and my husband had to contact Expedia so get moved the first day we arrived because the experience was already so bad and dull. "
