"Access to beach was far. Beach access on itself was small and outdated. Umbrellas and chairs were less than desirable. The “entertainment “ was subpar. Boring and tedious. Extremely difficult to make dinner reservations. They require for reservation to be in-person . Front staff mentioned it was only open to 20 guests… they had 200 at the time. "

"With the exception of 2 staff members the attitude was terrible The location is too remote from restaurants and bars the hotels restaurant bar and terrace were all closed the pool was dirty about to go green no where to lounge by the pool even after asking for a banana loumge to be moved from the closed terrace they said no. "I don't even know where to start. I just spent 2 weeks in Huatulco as I have a place being built in the area which is not ready yet. Our first 9 days we spent at Villas Coral as we visited a friend there last year. The Hotel is amazing. The views are stunning, and the food is delicious. However, none of that compares to the fantastic staff working there. Everyone, including maintenance staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. At first i thought we were being treated as special...

"Me and my husband planned on staying here until we had such a terrible experience the first day first night. First the AC in the room did not reach the restroom therefore the restroom was extremely hot. Second the bed was extremely hard, maybe not a deal breaker for some but it’s was almost like laying on the floor. Third when we planned on going to sleep after ignoring and trying to just make the best out of all the issues, the head board of the bed was covered in ants which to our surprise we moved the bed and underneath was full of ants as well. Not to mention in order to contact the staff we had to text the girl on WhatsApp which was extremely inconvenient since she was already home which we did not know and we didn’t wanna inconvenience someone while they are at home. Another thing the place had a really dirty pool which in the pictures looked better than in person. They also advertised for a private beach experience but when we arrive we were told that we couldn’t swim since the beach was very rocky and waves were strong, which one fine but that was one of the reasons we stayed there since we wanted that experience. Overall it was very uncomfortable and inconvenient and me and my husband had to contact Expedia so get moved the first day we arrived because the experience was already so bad and dull. "
