Crystal clear water, slides and sports activities are among the many features that make Playa el Coromuel one of the most popular beaches in the region. Gulls and pelicans gather at this beach, where you can often spot dolphins as well. Get a space for your family in the shaded enclosure of a palapa, a small hut of thatched straw and dried palm leaves.
Sunbathe on the beach and cool down with a dip in the water. Swimming races often take place in this calm bay. Bring your kids to the top of the slides and rush down the slippery surface into the ocean. You can also do kayaking, paddleboarding and diving here. Bring your own snorkel and mask to get a closer look at the colorful fish in the calm and transparent water.
Stroll along the wooden fishing pier and appreciate the panoramic views of the sea. Purchase drinks and snacks from the shops and restaurants, which have tables spilling onto a shaded terrace overlooking the strand. Stroll along this charming boardwalk for an excellent vista of the beach.
The coastal complex contains an auditorium for shows and ceremonies, making it a popular spot for graduations and weddings. Remain on the beach late into the day and watch the sun go down as you sip cocktails.
Note that the beach is accessible and free to the public at all times. Bathroom facilities are open daily from morning until evening.
