"Overall the experience was acceptable. There were a few issues that need to be addressed. 1) Useless Beach : the sargassum sea weed made the beach unappealing for most of the 9-day stay. The water was too shallow and rocky to swim in. The water perimeter was too close to the beach and if you crossed the line, the lifeguards would whistle even if the water is only at waist-level. 2) Lack of Activities : there were no activities passed 10 pm. I felt like there was a curfew going on. 3) Staff : the staff was decent however their effort was clearly based on tips. If you don't tip, they will do anything to avoid serving you. 4) Inadequate wifi: the wifi was spotty and only worked if you were next to the router. Clearly there are repeaters on each building but they weren't up to task. 5) Restaurant Differentiation : the premise offered many a-la-carte restaurants however the quality was only marginally better than the buffet. In most cases the buffet was a better choice than the restaurants. "

"Staff were all exceptional. Particularly Francisco, Enrique, Maria, Vanessa & Francis. Room & pool area very clean and nice. Food at buffet was...buffet food. Meh. Large selection, always about the same. Some items would get hard (had to saw through a crepe with a steak knife) but about what you'd expect at buffett. This place is beautifully expansive but there are some trip hazzards (sunken bricks etc) on the main walkway leading from lobby area to rooms. I was able to get 15,000 steps/day without trying. Great for me but older people & those that may have mobility issues should be aware. Didn't see any monkeys except a little one that had a tight collar and leash that a man brought around the pool area to sell selfies with. It was quite disturbing. Large selection of pools, active and quiet. Very nicely kept. Lots of wildlife, especially coati & deer everywhere. "

"Absolutely beautiful property, loved the walk from the main square to the beach. Beach was great, the option of an ocean swim to a pool swim was perfect! Pools were clean and very nice. Rooms were beautiful, so spacious and well kept. "

"This entire trip was a 12/10. The pick up at the airport was divine. Santi, Ricardo, and Bernardo, Freddy were amazing and took such good care of us. A trip to remember. One of my complaints was the all-inclusive, wasnt really all inclusive. Food on menu was not all included and when we arrived there was beer and sodas in our room. As the days went by, the less things were less resrockdd. We never got beer resrockedm"

"We had a suite, it was nice and spacious; had a really nice view. The staff was helpful and very friendly and welcoming. "

"We just got home from a very nice week at the Royal Haciendas! The resort was even nicer than we expected. We had a suite room and it was perfect to have the separate room with 2 single beds for the 2 kids. The food was good and nobody got sick from any of the food which was great. There was a lot of staff always there to help with anything we needed. It was free to use life jackets, pool noodles, snorkeling gear etc. which was a nice touch. The resort isn't too big which was nice with young kids as you didn't have to walk too far to get anywhere. The only con is the ocean is blocked off by sand bags which were a bit of an eyesore. Overall we really loved this resort and would highly recommend it! "
