"It was our second stay at The Holiday Inn Hotel in Southend and it was excellent. Easy check in, all staff were friendly and excellent service. The room was a very good size and was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom with fabulous smelling toiletries. Everything you would need was in the room including a safe. The breakfast was excellent so much choice. Easy parking at the hotel cost £10.00 a night. I highly recommend this hotel."

The shower is an over-bath type but is powerful and you get a great shower. Although the rooms are large, they are very dated and showing their age.
