Family friendly Hotels in Northwest Georgia, Georgia

"My wife and I needed a little "escape from reality" for the weekend. Between careers and other responsibilities, we usually only have the occasional weekends for just us. We had talked about staying at the Hawthorn before since it is close to home and has a good bit to see within walking distance, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did. The staff is amazing, and the hotel itself is beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed walking up and down Broad Street and checking out the shops and restaurants. After our exploring, we finished off the night with a nightcap at the well-stocked hotel bar, where I had a pleasant conversation with who I assume is a manager (I never asked his role) about various high-end bourbons. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly, which is a rare thing these days. The Hawthorn will now be a regular "escape" destination for us."
