"Wonderful stay at Arenal Observatory Lodge. Our only disappointment was not being able to see the volcano in its entirety due to stubborn low hanging clouds. It’s a beautiful property with lots to see for nature lovers and bird watchers. Bring rain gear even if it is supposed to he the dry season. Don't miss The Nest tower."

"It's nice to have a room surrounded by nature, and breakfast was good with variety of choices and lots of birds around, felt very relaxing. Our reservation covered 2 breakfast, so we just had to pay $9 for the extra person (we are a family of 3). The only thing I would complain was the walls are thin, so if you have a noisy neighbor, you can hear everything. But this was not the hotel's fault. This was our first 2 nights in Costa Rica, so we didn't realize that you are not supposed to throw...

"Great villa for extended stays. We only stayed a night so didn't get to take advantage of the kitchen and living area as much. Internet was spotty and had some issues with they dryer but overall nice place and it was a reasonable rate. Perfect location if going to the Mystic hanging bridges. The breakfast was a different location and required a shuttle but it was good."

"Check in/out was easy meeting put timeline. We got an upgrade what was a nice benefit. Sergio was very welcome and unbelievably helpful with all information and activities suggestions. View from the Lodge is breathtaking. Bed was very comfortable. Will come back and recommend my friends. "

"The property was beautiful! We saw more birds on the property than we did at the nearby natiknal park. The food from the restaurant was excellent! A true highlight of our trip. The rooms were very clean and so was the entire property and the staff was very nice and helpful. Only negative of the property is a lack of heating/cooling in the rooms. "This place is a hidden gem! The rustic cabins are well maintained and clean. A short walk from the cabin and you arrive at the restaurant where the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The hosts were so nice and helpful, making suggestions for our hikes and other options for dinner (although we ate on site 4 times it was so good). Our kids miss Lucky and Domino and wanted to take the puppies home :-) I would definitely recommend!"

"Beautiful property in a large forest land. We did self tour of the property during the day andbit was nice. Separate, spread out log cabins. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. We saw a variety of birds hang out by the breakfast area. Three tucans flew by to hang out at a tree top. Issues: 1. the cabins have metal roof for the property that is in the rain forest. "I would say Lost Iguana Resort was the best part of our stay in Costa Rica compared to other places in Quepos or San Jose. The resort is tucked deep inside the rainforest, this resort offered a serene retreat with stunning rooms and a tranquil ambiance. If you are a bird entusiast, this is one of the nicest places to hear the soothing symphony of bird sounds all through the day. Food was okay, we didnt really like much the dinner options offered inside the resort. Vegetarian items are less and the taste of the food is average. "

Great service

"Service was great. Great breakfast option and rooms are nice. TV was small and did not have great service. Pool and spas were great and never too busy. Every room had a view of the volcano but they're not straight on views. Very good hotel but you might be able to find similiar accommodations for cheaper."
