"This resort is very well kept and nestled in the forest. Our back patio in our private casita looked out at the forest and we saw monkeys in the trees in the morning. The massage area is so relaxing while in a private area overlooking the forest. The dining area has really good food. The staff is really nice. The pool area is very relaxing with a swim up bar. Very relaxing and beautiful all around. "

"Beautiful property with very helpful, friendly staff. The thermal pools were amazing and our teenage boys had a blast in the waterslides. Seimbup bar was a nice touch but drink prices there were ridiculous. Other items around the hotel were affordable. "Wonderful stay at Arenal Observatory Lodge. Our only disappointment was not being able to see the volcano in its entirety due to stubborn low hanging clouds. It’s a beautiful property with lots to see for nature lovers and bird watchers. Bring rain gear even if it is supposed to he the dry season. Don't miss The Nest tower."

"I love the fact that as soon as we arrived on the property, we saw a slot! I guess there’s a family of them. The front desk staff was super friendly. Our bungalow in the jungle was secluded and awesome. You need to know that it was dated, however. A little bit like camping in the woods. It was probably the best value out there. "
