"This is our most recent of many past stays at Amila. We always stay at Amila when we travel to Sipalay to visit my wifes family. Tobias , his wife (owners) and their entire staff are are nothing short of terrific. The location is so good, restaurant food delicious, sunsets amazing. "

One other thing, the road approaching is horrendous, simply awful. Oh and the dogs ... They are so nice, love those dogs!! "

"It is a tiny resort, with a few resorts on sugar beach, most of the time it felt like we were alone, which is great for a romantic weekend everyone is kind. The water is clear the Beach is clean. "This turned out to be very disappointing. I was looking forward to this resort out of all the places I was visiting in the Philippines. It turned out to be the worst. First, the room did not have A/C, no hot water and the bed was like a baby mattress! That’s just the beginning. They don’t take credit cards at the resort. The WiFi was terrible. I had to pay over $100 to get a room with A/C. The facilities were run down and out dated. The restaurant was nice but no A/C either. Felt like Castaway!!...

"This is exactly what we were looking for. Hammocks under palm trees on a sandy beach with water, mountain and island views. The intimate park like setting was perfect for hanging out outside. We paid the moderate corkage fee and did a lot of our own cooking outside. We also enjoyed the included breakfast that was served each morning.
