"This was by far the most unique, amazing hotel we stayed at on the island of Crete. Upon arrival we were given fresh-squeezed lemonade made from their own lemon trees. The staff was so friendly! The building is over 500 years old, and nothing like I've ever seen before. The suite we got was huge, (living room, full kitchen, dining room, and bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs). "The staff are absolutely wonderful. Outstanding, all of them! The location is very handy for both the beach and a short walk to the old town. Nice view of the beach if you have one of the suites etc. The hotel itself is a bit dated. If you are used to 5* hotels around the world, you won't get that. It is all decent and functional but just bits here and there are a bit like we used to do things in the naughties 😊 two double beds pushed together to make a king etc etc... Overall nice stay...
