"Great value for the money provided you enjoy a quiet beach and don’t mind driving 10 minutes to town centre. Good restaurants and a supermarket are about 5 minutes walking distance. Right on a beautiful sandy beach. Great for sunbathing, and swimming. Friendly and welcoming staff."

"My second time visiting in less than a year! Absolutely love this hotel. The service is incomparable and the food is exquisite. Our favourite options were the traditional Cretan restaurant Elemes and the Seafood restaurant Bony Fish. The service and the cuisine were star-worthy in both. My advice? Take the staffs recommendations on dishes of the day. Lots to do in the hotel's complex such as shopping ( I spent too much money here!) and snorkelling in the sea. The spa stocks brands like Davines which thoroughly impressed me as it is a sustainable B-corp brand that I love. The most incredible sunrise and sunset views! Already dreaming of our next visit. My only minor comment is that I would have appreciated a later check out option. Currently late check out is only available until 12pm and I would have preferred to be able to spend a few extra hours in the room by our pool rather than waiting to leave. "

"This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The room was a good size and we were upgraded to a sea view top floor which was great as we werent overlooked in the hot tub. The pool area was fantastic, lots of beds, spacious, very comfy and gorgeousness infinity pools. We didnt use the al a carte restaurant but the buffet was great, varied and we were impressed that the head chef gave us a personal tour so we knew what the vegan options were. Thank you Yannis! "Lovely clean, modern hotel in the center of Chania with excellent service and friendly staff. Five minute walk to the old town and 20 minute walk to a great beach. The staff was so nice and accommodating. "

"Stella Island is a beautiful and peaceful resort with a truly premium feel. The rooms were superb, and the design—with pools running throughout—adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The food was consistently excellent, with plenty of variety and top-quality dishes. While the location isn’t ideal for walking to nearby attractions, the resort has everything you need, and taxis to local towns are easy to arrange. Highly recommended for a luxurious, hassle-free getaway. "

"For me this was a near perfect set up if you want to relax and unwind, having a collection of villa's rather than a single building means it doesn't feel cramped, likewise being spread out over a big site meant you rarely felt you had to worry about getting a space by the pool like you can at other places. The staff could not be more helpful, most of the extras food and drink where good value and a mini market onsite meant you could top up any supplies easily. No real negatives other than the "mocktails" were incredibly expensive compared to normal soft drinks but that is a choice I made equally the local town is VERY touristy and so don't go there expecting an authentic Greek experience. If I want to chill for a week by the pool in the sun this would be top of my list."
