We stayed at WDREI for 5 nights in November 2024 and absolutely loved the property. We would highly recommend to anyone staying in Munich! It is a 5 minute walk to Marienplatz with tons of restaurants, shops, and sights all around. Very close to two different train stations as well. The room was clean upon arrival, the bathroom was very large. The staff was very accommodating and let us check in as soon as our room was ready as we had a red eye flight and arrived in Munich early in the morning, so we very much appreciated being able to check in earlier than expected. They also have a common area where you can purchase drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic which was super convenient. They also have items you can borrow such as speakers, hair straighteners, etc. This was a lifesaver, as my hair straightener broke from being overwhelmed by my converter. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had about the surrounding areas or restaurant recommendations. One of the staff members also went out of her way to help us with some ticket issues we were having for a an event we had purchased tickets to in Munich. The rooms are all painted black so it is a little hard to see at night sometimes, so I wish there was a little more lighting available in the rooms. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will be back to stay with WDREI if we ever find ourselves in Munich again!

I loved my room. It was beautifully appointed with stunning drawings on the walls and very cozy furniture. The front staff was extremely helpful and warm. Great location near Marienplatz, too. I also love the concept of keeping it simple yet very beautiful. No TV. A great “Honesty Bar” with sodas etc. and hot water, etc. FIVE stars, for sure.

Was a cute boutique hotel. Beds are comfortable and it’s very spacious. Close walking to many restaurants and museums. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Nice coffee room to gather in. Beautiful art on the walls but lighting could be better to offset the black walls. We were there in early October and as such the air conditioning wasn’t working. Found it stuffy but when the windows were open it was noisy. However overall would highly recommend this hotel.

The WDREI Hotel in Munich Bavaria Germany is a hidden Gem! It’s a hotel that provides its guests with all they need for comfortable stay. The hotel is in a quiet, private neighborhood in an excellent location. There are many restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions nearby within walking distance. We were traveling with friends and booked three rooms for two days. Each of us stayed in room that was totally unique. The rooms have hand painted murals on the walls done in black and white. The murals are hand sketched that with provide the guests with local Munich area points interest. The hotel room rates are very reasonable and they offer a safe welcoming comfortable space. The WDREI does offer it's guests very reasonable priced beverages, drinks, coffee, and snacks for an extra charge. Everyone in our group would stay there again.

It is a very nice property conveniently located close to some big tourist attractions in central Munich. The property looked very well maintained. My only concern is my room only had a single bed. I am used to small beds in Europe. I am not tall but I found the bed to be uncomfortably small. And the mattress kept sliding off the bed during the night. Otherwise I would have rated this five stars

It was a fine place to stay, but not very hotel like. Felt more like an upgraded hostel. No nice amenities. I expected something nicer/higher end based on the description and price. It was fine, don’t get me wrong, but not what we were hoping for.

It is a very unique small hotel in a very convenient location. At first, it appeared light on amenities but most were available if we wished them. The staff were very attentive. We enjoyed our three nights there.

Near the Prater and Danube, beautiful old building. Within walking distance of many local restaurants and subway stops (about 10 min). Supposedly has AC and there was a thermostat in the room, but opening windows was much more effective. Our room was also west-facing so the beautiful huge windows took in a lot of heat. High ceilings, large bathroom, and cool decor.

Wonderful hotel in the middle of old town Munich! Perfect location - 2 min walk to Platzl & Hofbrauhaus, and just a few minutes more to Marienplatz. Staff was friendly and helpful. And the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and have good AC. Highly recommend!
