The Wellwood Arms

3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (159)
"Enjoyed a pleasant short stay here as a
family
. Service in the pub/restaurant/breakfast was prompt and friendly and food was good quality and value. Our room was unexpectedly warm for the time of year, despite radiators being turned-down but there was already a good fan in the room to counter this. We had no issues with noise despite being above the pub. "

The Granby Inn

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (125)
"A lovely friendly and welcoming place. Our room had a great fresh and clean smell as we entered and when I requested extra little milk cartons I was asked if I preferred fresh milk - oh yes. The beds were very comfy. Just what we needed. A table was reserved for our evening meal and it didn't disappoint. I hadn't expected the possibility of a roast Sunday dinner on the evening, and it was amazing, delicious and I didn't leave a scrap. My hubby was just as thrilled with his steak and ale pie....

Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Country Club

4.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (499)
"Bedroom and main areas of the hotel were a little tired, though the spa/swimming pool area was very good - very clean and nicely lit. The Linden Tree pub/dining area was nice enough. The food was delicious, though some parts of the mains were a little cold, which was disappointing. Breakfast was a 3/5 - the tea was flavourless and buffet options were a little limited. The poached eggs were very well done, though."

The Dyke Neuk

4.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (82)
"Our stay was disappointing overall. We were staying in the
Family
Room, but were not advised when booking that on our second night immediately below that room would be a rock band, performing until 10:30pm. Immediately below the
Family
Room!?!?!? The floor was literally shaking, which left us with 3 distressed children. A really appalling situation. On top of that, after a disappointing dinner on the first evening (our order was lost by the kitchen, so our food took 90 minutes to arrive, and...

"We had a really enjoyable stay. On arrival in the evening we were welcomed by our host with a friendly smile and a fresh pot of coffee. The breakfast selection was amazing and the whole dining experience was lovely and very filling setting us up for the day. The house is very secluded and peaceful and the surrounding area is also lovely."
